First Thursday Slow Stitch
First Thursday Slow Stitch is a casual monthly gathering of the Eugene Modern Quilt Guild focused on handwork and community. Quilters bring their hand-stitching projects—binding, embroidery, English paper piecing, mending, or slow quilting—and spend a couple of hours stitching and visiting. It’s a welcoming, low-key way to connect with other makers and make progress on small projects.

Elkton Retreat
The Eugene Modern Quilt Guild’s annual retreat takes place each fall at the lovely Big K Ranch in Elkton, Oregon, offering several days of uninterrupted sewing in a peaceful rural setting.
Participants stay in cozy cabins that sleep one to three people, and the retreat fee includes overnight accommodations, shared sewing space, and two meals each day. The open sewing area provides plenty of room to spread out projects and work at your own pace.
Sewing sessions are broken up by walks to the river, quilt bingo, and other fun activities, creating a relaxed rhythm for the weekend while still leaving plenty of time to focus on quilting.
